Due to the increased Covid-19 restrictions in the Inner West area, we have decided to postpone Thursday’s screenings (Thursday 24th June at 7pm) until 29 July at 7pm (the last Thursday of the month). The decision was made to minimise risk to health and to ensure a good turnout for the programmed screening. Long-term subscriptions will be extended for a month. Λόγω των αυξημένων μέτρων προστασίας για τον κορονοϊό στην περιοχή του Marrickville, αποφασίσαμε να ακυρώσουμε την προβολή της ερχόμενης Πέμπτης (7μμ Πέμπτη 24 Iουνίου) για να πραγματοποιηθεί στις 29 Ιουλίου, 7μμ (την τελευταία Πέμπτη του μήνα). Η απόφαση πάρθηκε για να μειώσουμε τις πιθανότητες μετάδοσης του ιού και να εξασφαλίσουμε την καλύτερη προσέλευση των μελών μας για την επόμενη προβολή.Οι συνδρομές θα παραταθούν για ένα μήνα. In the early 1950s, a proud master of the traditional shadow theatre finds himself competing with the rising popularity of cinema. As he struggles to keep his audiences and his financial viability, he comes into conflict with his young apprentices and sister looking towards a different future. Starring well-known actors Kostas Kazakos and Giorgos Ninios.
Τhe film was Greece’s official entry in the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival.

Καθώς παλεύει να διατηρήσει το κοινότου και να επιβιώσει οικονομικά, έρχεται σε σύγκρουση με τους νεαρούςμαθητευόμενους και την αδερφή του που αναζητούν ένα διαφορετικό μέλλον. Πρωταγωνιστούν οι γνωστοί ηθοποιοί Κώστας Καζάκος και Γιώργος Νινιός.
