An engaging documentary that tells the story of decades of local opposition to the massive
Mesochora dam project built by Greece’s Public Power Corporation in the southern Pindus
Mountain range. More than just a record of opposition to environmental damage, the film
evokes the life of generations of rural people in the area and the deeper cultural values at stake
in the clash between community and economic forces. The director’s connection to the area
provides an added personal dimension to the story.

Ένα συναρπαστικό ντοκιμαντέρ με θέμα την επί δεκαετίες αντίσταση της τοπικής κοινωνίας
στο τεράστιο φράγμα της ΔΕΗ στο χωριό Μεσοχώρα της νότιας Πίνδου. Η ταινία είναι κάτι
παραπάνω από ένα ντοκουμέντο αντίστασης σε μια περιβαλλοντική καταστροφή, καθώς
διεισδύει στη ζωή ολόκληρων γενεών ανθρώπων της υπαίθρου και τις βαθύτερες πολιτισμικές
αξίες που απειλούνται από τις δυνάμεις της οικονομίας. Η σχέση του σκηνοθέτη με την περιοχή
προσδίδει μια επιπλέον προσωπική διάσταση στην ιστορία.
