The River (2024) 93’ Dir. Haris Raftogiannis
Makis is a contractor and an upstanding gentleman devoted to protecting both citizens and… birds. Among his many duties, he takes pride in the important job of placing bird-shaped decals on glass barriers along national highways, helping protect real birds from fatal collisions with reflective surfaces. One day, he meets Maria, a mysterious woman living in a shantytown alongside a band of wandering outcasts. Their chance encounter will change both of their lives forever.

Ο Μάκης είναι ένας εργολάβος και ένας καθωσπρέπει κύριος που ορκίζεται στην προστασία του πολίτη και των… πουλιών, αναλαμβάνοντας, μεταξύ άλλων, το εξαιρετικά σημαντικό πόστο του να κολλάει αυτοκόλλητα πετούμενων στις τζαμαρίες των εθνικών οδών, με σκοπό την προστασία των αληθινών πτηνών από τις θανατηφόρες συγκρούσεις με το γυαλί. Μια μέρα γνωρίζει τη Μαρία, μια μυστηριώδη γυναίκα που ζει σε μια παραγκούπολη μαζί με μια ομάδα απόκληρων περιπλανώμενων. Η τυχαία συνάντησή τους θα αποδειχθεί μοιραία και για τους δύο.
